Films & Events Overview
Availability of Printed Program Guides
This year's HIFF Program Guide will come in two different versions. The first we're calling our Program Book, a glossy publication available to delegates, members and sponsors at no charge, and available for purchase by the general public at $5 each. The second version will be our User Guide, a newsprint version available free of charge to anyone. It will still contain all of the film and event information, schedule times, but will be more brief than the Program Book.
These printed program guides will be available to pick up/purchase around October 1st at the HIFF Box Office, across the street from the Dole Cannery theaters.
Online Program Guide / Schedule
We're providing you with an interactive online schedule and list of films courtesy of our partner, B-Side. You can browse our film catalog, read film synopses, view photos and trailers, rate and review fims, and purchase tickets online. If you sign up for a free account, you'll be able to rate and review films, and even build, download or print a personal calendar of films you want to watch at our festival.
The Schedule Genius is a new feature this year, which will look at the screenings you have added to your personal calendar and automatically find and fix schedule conflicts, suggest alternate screenings, and will make sure you get to see the films you want to see. In addition, you can now download or print your personal calendar or the full schedule of films & events.
Using the Schedule Genius requires you to register for a free account, which only requires a valid e-mail address. Once you have registered, add any screenings you are interested in to your personal calendar, then click on the 'run schedule genius' button on the Schedule or My Festival pages. The Schedule Genius first asks for the dates you will be attending the festival, then it optimizes your schedule. You can even specify travel time between different venues for it to take into account. You will have an opportunity to modify the presented schedule before accepting the changes.

E-Program Book
Our E-Program Book is a digital copy of our printed program book in a magazine format. The Adobe Flash Player is required to view it. The E-Program Book is *not* updated to reflect changes or additions to the schedule. If you want the most current schedule and film information, please look at the online film schedule.
