Call for Entries - Submit Your Film

Welcome filmmakers! This year’s festival will take place in Mid-Late October 2010. The Hawaii International Film Festival is always looking for new and exciting films to present to our audiences.

The call for entries for film submissions for the 2010 Hawaii International Film Festival is now OPEN.

We have outlined the categories, deadlines and fees for this year. Before you begin to enter your film, download the 2010 Rules and Regulations for exact requirements by clicking on the link below. We are only accepting entries online this year.

Features (41 minutes or more in length) Shorts (1 - 40 minutes in length)

* There is no submission fee for films submitted in MADE IN HAWAII and STUDENT UNDER 18 categories if submitted through HIFF submission site. Please see the Rules and Regulations guide for more information.

All entries (except for STUDENT UNDER 18) must be physically present at the HIFF office by July 8, 2010 to qualify for this year’s festival.

STUDENT UNDER 18 deadline is August 1, 2010 and submissions must be in the HIFF office by that date.

We have designed our own free film submission form. Options to pay submission fees with a check or a credit card through Google Checkout. Filmmakers considering submitting films for the MADE IN HAWAII and STUDENT UNDER 18 category are required to submit directly through HIFF. Click on the link below to enter your film.

HIFF is a partner with Withoutabox, the online film festival submission service. Withoutabox is free and allows filmmakers to complete a single application and submit to almost 3,000 film festivals around the world! Discounted entry fees are also available through Withoutabox.

Include your screener DVD (the DVD sent must be Region 1 NTSC) in a bubble pack envelope, with the actual DVD clearly labeled with your contact information and the Withoutabox or CFE number (looks like: WAB-0000-HIFF or CFE-0000-HIFF).
