It was recently announced that HIFF's 2009 Festival Trailer, created by Hyperspective Studios and Orangeroc and starring Daniel Dae Kim, won a Key Art Award for the "Theatrical Audio/Visual - Festival Audio/Visual" category at the The Hollywood Reporter's 39th Annual Key Art Awards. This year's festival trailer stars Daniel Dae Kim, famous for his performances on the hit TV show LOST. It also features local actors Kimi & Eric Chun. The trailer was shot and directed by Todd Robertson of Hyperspective Studios, any many film professionals donated their time to make this trailer for HIFF. The story is based on the "Ink Blot" theme by OrangeRoc. To see the full production credits, click the title above.
Ticket sales have now started for the general public, and we premiered the HIFF festival trailer (starring Daniel Dae Kim, from LOST) at our Sneak Peek last week. We'll be putting the festival trailer online for everyone to view starting on Wednesday October 7th at 5pm. It will be posted here on our blog. This past week in Halawa Valley, Todd Robertson of Hyperspective Studios and a crew of film professionals donated their time and equipment to shoot some scenes from the upcoming 2009 HIFF Trailer. Starring in this year's trailer is LOST regular Daniel Dae Kim, as well as local actors Eric & Kimi Chun. HIFF Ohana members will be able to see the premiere of this trailer around September 30th (more details to come), and we'll have it on our website to view shortly after that date.
