We have an e-mail newsletter that periodically gets sent to subscribers. We'll announce important dates, events, special offers and will let you know about new content on our website, such as film trailers and Q&A sessions with filmmakers attending our festival.

This E-News will be sent every two weeks while we're in between festival periods, weekly when we're close to one of our big events, and daily during our festivals in the spring and fall.

Job Opportunities

HIFF Internship Program

HIFF internships offer opportunities to gain a broad range of work experiences in film festivals. HIFF interns work closely with festival staff to plan, coordinate, and implement special events, educational programs, and film screenings.

While internships are unpaid, festival staff will work with interns to gain school credit for work performed. HIFF requires a commitment of 15 to 40 hours per week and a set work schedule. Access to a car is preferred.

Volunteer at HIFF

Celebrating 30 years of international cinema, the Hawaii International Film Festival, October 14 – 24, 2010 continues to be one of the largest film festivals in the world. We screen narrative and documentary features, as well as short films and music videos. The Festival schedule includes seminars, talks, outdoor screenings, receptions, educational programs and other special events.
