In accordance with the local, state, and federal guidelines, masks are required to be worn indoors in Hawaii, even for fully vaccinated individuals. To be allowed access to the theater screenings and indoor HIFF talks, we ask that you please provide proof of either, (a) confirmation that you have been fully vaccinated (two weeks since a single dose vaccine, or two weeks since the second dose of a two dose vaccine); or (b) a negative PCR test for Covid-19 (taken within 48 hours of the event). Tests will not be provided at the event.
Outdoor screenings & events: All outdoor events in Honolulu are required to be 100% vaccination. All attendees for outdoor screenings and events at HIFF are required to bring a valid COVID-19 vaccination card and matching photo ID.

Prior to traveling to the screening, complete the following Health Screening Checklist. If you answer “Yes” to any one of these questions, please stay home and stay safe. We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for you, our other guests, and our cast members. You must follow all posted instructions while at the screening or event.

Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and older) and Staff, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine, while indoors.
All face coverings (whether disposable or reusable) must:
  • Be made with at least 2 layers of breathable material
  • Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin
  • Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
  • Be secured with ties or ear loops and allow the Guest to remain hands-free

At this time, based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas, and face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings.

The use of face coverings is not a substitute for physical distancing.
