THE HUMAN FACTOR
THE HUMAN FACTOR

THE HUMAN FACTOR, a new film by Academy Award-nominated director Dror Moreh (THE GATEKEEPERS), revisits three decades of an Israeli-Arab peace process from the unique perspective of American mediators: peacemakers who spent hours with the region’s political heavyweights in Middle East capitals and gained intimate knowledge of the individuals and stories which dominated daily news around the world.
For them, peace in the Middle East became a personal obsession, THE HUMAN FACTOR explores went on behind closed doors in meetings between U.S. presidents and Israeli, Palestinian, and Syrian leaders. As mediators, the were tasked with the function to observe, relate, maintain neutrality, and convince both sides of the pressing necessity to resolve decades of brutal violence and turmoil.
As President Trump seeks out “the ultimate deal” while feeling strongly opposed by Palestinians, the Israel-Arab conflict remains unique in that the price of the diplomatic failure is evident and without comparison. THE HUMAN FACTOR recognizes the urgent need for global politicians to learn from past mistakes in order to create a viable future for all.
