Syngman Rhee’s 25-year activities in a small island community in the middle of the Pacific has not attracted much attention but did contribute to the founding of one of the most powerful Asian nations today. In this new documentary, the filmmakers venture to elucidate on his tenure in the Islands, from his contribution to the local Korean community, his emphasis on public education and the inspirations that led to his founding of an emerging nation.
