WORDS OF WISDOM FROM THE RAINBOW STATE

무지개 나라의 유산

Jinyoung Lee Won, a Korean-American journalist, explores the inspiring history of Koreans in Hawai‘i. One hundred and two Koreans landed in Hawai‘i on January 13, 1903. This small and forlorn group made incredible sacrifices for their children and their motherland, and started the influx of Korean culture and heritage on the Hawai‘ian Islands. This 20 minute documentary also includes a preview to the following project of the film: interviews with direct descendants of the first generation of Korean immigrants in a look back on the lives of our ancestors.
