This short film was created during the lockdown in the 4th quarter of last school year by students from the media programs at Kealakehe Intermediate School in Kona and Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School on Kaua’i. This was a true collaborative project by 17 middle school students who worked in teams for about 5 weeks to bring this to life. Students led their own teams and worked together to brainstorm, write, film, shoot, and edit their film, all while being across the state from each other. Students did all of their filming following all social distancing guidelines and used themselves or their family members as actors.
