HIFF Internship
Are you a college student, passionate about movies and eager to learn new things while connecting with the local community? Join HIFF as an intern and discover the behind-the-scenes production of a non-profit organization. Gain hands-on training, mentorship, and experience in festival events, education initiatives, film programming, and supporting filmmakers, both in Hawai‘i and beyond.
We’re looking for creative individuals who are passionate to make a positive impact through the arts. As a team member, you’ll be helping with the upcoming, exciting season of the 44th annual Hawai’i International Film Festival.
KĀPILI ‘OIHANA
HIFF works with Kāpili ‘Oihana, a Kamehameha Schools program that provides year-round opportunities for college students in Hawai’i to intern with host sites like HIFF. The program includes a paid stipend when completing your internship (60 hours total). The program is open to students currently enrolled in college, residing in Hawai’i, age 18 and older, with a cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher. Examples of tasks include:
- Attending Festival and team meetings as needed
- On-the-ground content creation
- Documenting events (photography, videography)
- Greeting Festival guests on-site
- Setting up/breaking down at events
- Assisting with outreach and program distribution
- Other related duties and activities to be determined in collaboration with the HIFF team
