INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM
The second installment of the original INDIANA JONES trilogy is actually a prequel to RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, finding Indy as a fortune-seeking adventurer still chasing gold and glory. Escaping Shanghai with nightclub singer Willie Scott, he lands in India, where a mysterious cult leads them into one of the franchise’s darkest adventures. Its gruesome imagery and nasty streak famously helped spur the creation of the PG-13 rating, while its outdated Orientalism remains impossible to ignore.
