BTS: THE RETURN with Bao Nguyen

HIFF invites Hawai‘i ARMY to go behind the scenes of the world’s biggest band with a special presentation of BTS: THE RETURN, followed by an in-person Q&A with director Bao Nguyen. After completing South Korea’s mandatory military service, BTS reunites in Los Angeles to record their fifth album, Arirang, and prepare for their comeback performance at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square. Reuniting after their solo pursuits, the seven members navigate the challenge of rediscovering their identity as BTS. Following the screening, Nguyen will share behind-the-scenes insights into capturing this historic reunion, offering Hawai‘i ARMY a rare look at how BTS’s next chapter was brought to the screen.
