LOS VAMPIRES

Fictionalizing the fascinating making of George Melford’s 1931 Spanish-language DRACULA, LOS VAMPIRES ventures behind the scenes of one of Hollywood’s most unusual productions. In 1930 Hollywood, a Spanish actor (LOST’s Henry Ian Cusick) is cast in the night shoot of a soon-to-be-legendary vampire film, using the same sets occupied during the day by its English-language counterpart. Tasked with recreating the performance of the celebrated English-speaking star, he begins crossing paths with his daytime rival during the transitory hours between their shoots. Professional curiosity soon gives way to jealousy, ego, and an escalating competition between the two men. But as Hollywood manufactures its latest screen monster, something far more sinister is unfolding beyond the cameras. A string of real-life murders on and around the soundstage begins to blur the line between performance and reality, transforming a unique chapter of early Hollywood history into a stylish mystery of ambition, obsession, and genuine horror.
