 This rebrand of HIFF’s signature spring event will maintain all the acclaim of HIFF’s annual Spring Showcase that brings the brightest new voices in international cinema ahead of our Fall Festival – and joins this momentum with a celebration of the Future of Film, showcasing Hawai’i’s young creatives, incorporating special industry guests, family-friendly film premieres, and workshops for all ages that catalyze creative conversations around the next generation of storytelling,  films, filmmakers, culture, and connection.

HIFF ‘Ōpio Fest will continue to highlight the best in new international cinema that will include selections straight from Sundance, exceptional international programs, and advanced screenings of anticipated studio releases.
