It’s the first alien monster movie independently made on Maui! And, of course, the frenzied action happens during Halloween!! Dave (Big Island based YouTube creator Alex Farnham) is a teacher forced to work in an environment where he feels as though he doesn''t belong. He''s obligated to work with an ex-girlfriend (Lindsay Watson from THE WIND AND THE RECKONING, HIFF 2022), who he is obviously not over, as well as an aggro gym teacher who bullies him constantly. Maybe the discovery of a seemingly dead alien in a lava tube is the one thing that can get him out of his pathetic rut and back into the game? Inspired by ‘80s and ‘90s movies from EVOLUTION to THE FACULTY, big fun is to be had for all as Farnham and his cast and crew (who also whipped together another feature film, ONE MILLION DOLLA, also screening at HIFF44) go for broke!
