Asian Pacific Filmmakers Experience (APFE) @ HIFF44

Established in 2002 in Park City, Utah to honor and recognize the cinematic artists whose works premiered at the Sundance and Slamdance Film Festivals, the APFE foregrounds and celebrates the creative products of Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Asian international cinema artists. Over twenty years later, APFE celebrations have been hosted in cities to congregate and celebrate AAPI artists; whether it be at SXSW (Austin, TX), LA Asian Pacific Film Festival (Los Angeles, CA), Tribeca (New York City), or TIFF (Toronto, ON), and points between. APFE's first Hawai‘i celebration at HIFF44 will foreground Kanaka Maoli and Pasifika artists at HIFF44, as well as within the community. Expect enlightened conversations, networking, and a celebration of the APFE!
