PERSEVERE + WATER BODIES + ALETHA
PERSEVERE is a story of sacrifice, loss, and the consequences of war. But itʻs also a story of strength, of perseverance, of circumstances that create opportunities for lives and families and legacies.
This short documentary looks into the lives of one particular family whose relatives were Okinawan immigrants caught up with the Japanese war effort and how they came through the difficult times of sacrifice and loss with quiet strength to create a legacy that lives through today. While PERSEVERE is a story based in a family of Okinawan heritage, it is a story that speaks to anyone who stands on the shoulders of their ancestors and owes their every existence to those who came before.
