THE LAST COOL THING I’VE EVER DONE
In 2018, filmmaker Kevin D’Angelo and conservationist Justin Luafalemana met on a beach cleanup in Molokai and became friends. Upon fulfilling a promise to Justin to return to Molokai, Kevin was a guest of the Molokai Hunting Club’s annual boar hunting excursion on the remote north shore of Molokai. THE LAST COOL THING I’VE EVER DONE chronicles the filmmaker''s unexpected friendship with Justin, the Molokai community in Hawaii, and how a mysterious chronic illness shaped the meaning and memory of this hunting trip. Equal parts travel film, cultural documentary, and medical mystery, THE LAST COOL THING I''VE EVER DONE is an exploration of luck, adventure, loss, and redemption. This film is screening on Moloka‘i as part of the Festival’s return to the island this year!
