TOKYOタクシー
In TOKYO TAXI, 94-year-old director Yoji Yamada (TWILIGHT SAMURAI, TORA-SAN) brings his signature warmth and humanity to a story of fleeting connections in the heart of the city. SMAP’s Takuya Kimura plays Masato, a weary taxi driver whose late-night fare—an elderly woman revisiting the landmarks of her past, played by Chieko Baisho (PLAN 75)—turns into an unexpected journey of memory, reflection, and renewal. Gentle and deeply moving, the film is a meditation on how strangers can change one another’s lives in a single night.
