In the heart of Aotearoa, a Māori land occupation at Puke Ariki ignites tensions across activists, police, politicians, and whānau, each fighting for their truths.

At the center are five lives that collide in tragedy:

Willa – A rising Māori musician, struggling with her whakapapa and place in the movement.

Miki – A father and activist, desperate to protect his son.

Adrian – A Chinese-Kiwi cop, caught between duty and identity.

Ahorangi – A Māori government minister, walking the thin line between tradition and politics.

Hinewai – A nurse and mother, sacrificing everything for her people.

Unraveling over just one hour, each episode follows the five characters for eight minutes. Their stories intertwine through personal struggles, political turmoil, and a devastating terrorist attack, one that will leave scars on their community forever.
