YIN YANG MASTER ZERO

Once upon a time, over a thousand years ago during the Heian period, there was a special bureau of magicians whose school trained students to become masters who would then defend their city from curses and other malevolent spells. But there was one student, Abe no Seimei, who was brilliant at the mystic arts, but shunned friendship from his fellow apprentices. When the princess of the realm is tormented by strange visions, a young aristocrat of the ruling clan asks Seimei for his help to investigate. But following the mysterious death of another apprentice, they discover a vast conspiracy and the powerful curse it has engendered. The production design for this epic fantasy is elegant, the visual effects strong (not surprising since it’s the Oscar-winning team behind GODZILLA MINUS ONE) whilst the lead trio of actors Kento Yamazaki, Shota Sometani and Nao all help bring the story to life. One of the biggest Japanese hits of 2024.
