With cinemas shuttered by the virus outbreak, theatrical distributors are partnering with arthouse venues, film festivals and other arts organizations to reach audiences with virtual screening rooms.

Synopsis: Kathy (Golden Globe Nominee Hong Chau DOWNSIZING, WATCHMEN), a single mother, travels with her shy eight0year-old son Cody (newcomer Lucas Jaye), to Kathy’s late sister’s house which they plan to clean and sell. As Kathy realizes how little she knew about her sister, Cody develops an unlikely friendship with Del (Golden Globe, Tony winner and longtime acting legend Brian Dennehy) the Korean War vet and widower who lives next door. Over the course of a summer and with Del’s encouragement, Cody develops the courage to come out of his shell and, along with his mother, finds a new place to call home.

About Andrew Ahn:
Andrew Ahn is a Korean American filmmaker born and raised in Los Angeles. His debut feature film SPA NIGHT premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival in the US Dramatic Competition. His short film DOL (Birthday) also premiered at Sundance in 2012. He recently directed episodes for GENTIFIED, which is currently streaming on Netflix. DRIVEWAYS, his latest feature, world premiered at Berlinale and had its US premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Ahn graduated from Brown University with a degree in English and received a Masters in Fine Arts (MFA) in Film Directing from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).
