PAPER PLANES

Our story is about a girl who writes a note about how her days are, and then she folds it into a paper airplane, and lets the note fly. The plane travels over different environments, from crystal-clear ocean waters, to a burning bushfire. In the near future, the same girl gets her note back, as a paper plane. She then finds that her note has altered, being different from what she wrote in the past. Thus, she took action. This short film was produced during the Environmental Justice Reel Camp for Girls organized by Hawai‘i Women in Filmmaking in collaboration with Sierra Club of Hawaiʻi, and made possible thanks to the generous support of the NoVo Foundation and the Gerbode Foundation.
