HIFF SUMMER 2025 Internship
This summer internship runs from May 12 to August 15, 2025. Apply before the March 14 deadline!
HIFF partners with Kāpili ‘Oihana, a Kamehameha Schools program that provides year-round opportunities for college students in Hawai’i to intern with host sites like our organization. The program includes a paid stipend after completing your internship (120 hours total).
To be eligible you must be a student currently enrolled in college, residing in Hawai’i, age 18 and older, with a cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher. If eligible, please register before the March 14 deadline at: ksbe-csm.symplicity.com/students
We’re looking for kind, motivated individuals who are excited to make a meaningful impact through the arts. As part of our team, you’ll assist with the upcoming summer season at HIFF with our weekly and monthly screening events and various organizational tasks that support our year round industry and education programs. You’ll also be learning valuable skills in event production within a non-profit organization, all while making meaningful connections with the local filmmaking community. Plus, you’ll have the chance to enjoy amazing films!

Examples of tasks include:
- Weekly team meetings at HIFF’s Headquarters
- Greeting guests and members at events and scanning admission tickets
- Assisting the team with light setup and breakdown of events
- Documenting events through photography or videography
- Designing flyers and graphics
- Creating social media content
- Updating webpages and the blog
- Archiving HIFF’s historical documents/media
- Outreach in the local community
- Other related duties and activities, based on your skills and interests, to be determined in collaboration with the HIFF team
