Aloha,
In 2021, HIFF celebrates 41 years of cinematic excellence in Hawai’i and the talent of the Asia-Pacific rim. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have modified the format of our events to meet all required safety standards, including reduced and socially distanced theater screenings and intimate events.
The health and safety of our attendees and guests is our number one priority. To ensure your wellbeing, all HIFF events will follow the city and county guidelines set forth for the various venues where HIFF takes place. Attendees of events will be required to verify vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result taken 48-hours prior to the event.
For the safety of all, and in accordance with CDC recommendations, all persons will be required to wear a person mask at each screening and event venue to enter and watch a film or event. A person who is not vaccinated is strongly encouraged to purchase a virtual ticket or pass instead of an in-person ticket. Any person who does not comply with this requirement will not be allowed to enter a venue and will be offered the option to transfer a previously purchased in-person ticket to the same virtual film. All persons who enter a venue do so at their own risk.
Mahalo for your continued support of the Hawai’i International Film Festival. Your contribution greatly supports cinematic excellence, diverse voices in film, and the creative industries in Hawaii. We hope you’ll join us.
Sincerely,
HIFF team
